Your details
You are about to hand over your address and your moving date. Here is exactly what happens to it — in plain English, not buried in a policy.
Your details go to a maximum of four removal firms that cover your route, so they can quote you. Not thirty. The cap is built into the system, not a promise we remember to keep.
We do not sell your details, pass them to data brokers, or add you to a marketing list. Quoting your move is the only thing they are used for.
Email hello@moverbook.co.uk and we will delete what we hold. You can also ask for a copy of it — that is your right under UK GDPR, and we will not make you fight for it.
Enquiries are cleared on a retention schedule rather than sitting in a database indefinitely. The full detail is in our privacy policy.
We check UK limited companies live against Companies House. For Isle of Man and Crown Dependency companies, VAT-registered businesses and sole traders, we record the registration or insurance details they give us. If a firm's cover lapses, it stops being sent new enquiries until it puts that right. We do not inspect vehicles, premises or crews.
For removal firms
MoverBook is the software behind this page. Quotes, jobs, crews, vans, invoices and customer messages — in one system built for removals, not adapted from something else.

FAQ
Nothing. Getting quotes through us is completely free, and there is no obligation to book with any of the firms that contact you.
Every firm is a verified trading business — a registered company, VAT-registered, or insured. We pass your details to a maximum of four firms that cover your route, and they quote you directly. We do not carry out the move ourselves and we do not take a cut of what you pay them.

Usually within one working day. The more detail you give — postcodes, date and rough size — the faster and more accurate the quotes, because a firm can price your job properly instead of guessing.
No. Compare the quotes, ask questions, and book whoever suits you — or nobody at all. There is nothing to cancel and nothing to pay us either way.
The whole of the UK mainland and the Isle of Man — local moves, long-distance moves the length of the country, and cross-Irish-Sea moves to and from the Island, including the ferry.
Four to six weeks is comfortable for most moves. Aim for eight if you are moving in summer, at the end of a month, or on a Friday — those are the days everyone wants. If your date is tighter than that it is still worth asking; firms often have gaps from chains that have slipped.
Most offer it, either fully or just for the fragile things like glassware and pictures. It costs more but it is usually quicker and better protected than doing it yourself, and it is worth pricing both ways when you ask for quotes.
Usually yes for anything heavy, and always for glass or liquids. Light clothing can often stay in drawers if the unit is sturdy — but check with your firm first, because a loaded chest of drawers can pull itself apart on a staircase.
Most crews will take apart beds, wardrobes and tables and put them back together at the other end. Say so when you ask for a quote so the time is priced in rather than sprung on the day.
Anything hazardous — petrol, gas bottles, paint, aerosols and fireworks. Most will not take pets, plants on long journeys, or anything of very high value like cash and jewellery, which are better carried yourself.
Move mid-month and mid-week if you can, declutter properly before the survey rather than paying to move things you will not keep, pack what you are able to yourself, and make sure there is parking close to both doors. A long carry from the van adds time, and time is what you are paying for.
